1Office is widely known as a company who is not afraid to comment on the subject of e-residency and foreign business owners in Estonia. It is hardly surprising – most of 1Office clients are foreign. However, 1Office’s ambitious plan to modernise the selling of business services in Europe is a lesser known fact.
1Office who began in Tallinn 8 years ago has grown into an international group. Clients are served in 5 European capitals in 5 different languages. 1Office recently opened a new branch in Latvia. Because of this an Estonian business owner can access all required support services in one place in their mother tongue.
1Office offers bookkeeping, company setup, a virtual office and legal services. Clients can additionally rent offices and meeting rooms. As of 2016 1Office began introducing international tax advisory services helping to prevent cross border business management risks.
Amazon of business services
Whilst electronics and other goods can be bought anywhere with a smartphone the business services are still currently offered as they were in the 1990’s.
Financial and business services often require regular and personal communication with the client, followed by signing of agreements, invoicing and other procedures. This process is time consuming and not efficient when trying to serve customers.
One of 1Office principles is to be near the client. If the client is mobile and smart, 1Office services must match these client requirements. This is the reason 1Office started developing technology that enables servicing clients in the fastest and most efficient way possible. It only takes a few minutes to buy a service (like a business address, starting a business, management of post) from the 1Office e-shop.
Beginning autumn 2016 it will be possible to set up a private limited company direct from the 1Office e-shop and all subsequent services can be managed within the e-shop client environment. The goal is to offer flexibility to the client: services can be bought at any time throughout the day and managed online in one place.
New markets taken by storm
Ragnar Everest on 1Office mission: “It is our goal to be the first choice for business services for all small and medium size businesses in Northern Europe.”
Everest also mentions that the new markets should not be conquered until everything has been set up immaculately at home. The set up and management could take years but the result will be worth it. The head office has a positive environment and motivated employees that are driving the companies results and subsequent expansion into alternative markets.
“We plan to expand to at least one new country every year to be available for as many clients in the Baltics and Northern Europe as possible,” says Everest.
