Since April 2016 Limited Companies in the UK have been required to keep a register of people of significant control (PSC). We also wrote an article about it last year, which can be found here. From 26th June 2017 changes were made to UK anti-money laundering measures to help prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. It increases the transparency of who owns and controls companies in the UK. This legislation made changes to current requirements about people with significant control (PSC) information.
From the 26th of June 2017 companies in the UK will no longer update their PSC information annually via the Confirmation Statement. Instead they will have 14 days to update their register for any changes and a further 14 days to notify Companies House. Companies that wish to update their PSC information will now be required to use forms PSC01-PSC09.
