Do you need a business address or contact person in Estonia?
Every Estonian company must have a registered address.
If your company’s registered address is outside Estonia, Estonian law requires the company to appoint an eligible contact person in Estonia to receive procedural documents and declarations of intent on its behalf.

Important information about your business address and contact person subscription
- This is a yearly subscription service.
- The initial service period begins on the date the service is purchased.
- The standard annual price is €290 + VAT.
- The renewal fee is charged according to the applicable subscription and payment terms before the next service period.
- The term of a registered contact person is recorded in the Estonian Business Register.
- The contact person’s term must be extended when required for the service to continue.
- When the registered term expires, the contact person’s details are automatically removed from the Business Register.
- If your company is legally required to have a contact person, it is important to maintain a valid appointment.
- Physical mail forwarding, excess mail volume, parcel handling and special requests are charged separately.

Does an Estonian company need a legal address?
Yes. An Estonian company must have registered address information in the Estonian Business Register. The address may be in Estonia or abroad, but using an address abroad triggers additional contact person requirements.
When is a contact person mandatory in Estonia?
A contact person must be designated when the legal person’s registered address is outside Estonia. The contact person must meet the eligibility requirements established by Estonian law.
Do all e-resident companies need a contact person?
Not simply because the owner is an e-resident. The legal requirement depends on the company’s registered address. If the company’s registered address is abroad, a qualifying contact person in Estonia must be appointed.
What does a contact person do in Estonia?

Can you forward original letters to me?
Yes. If you need an original unopened letter forwarded physically, we can arrange this. Postal or courier charges and applicable handling fees are charged separately.
Can 1Office receive parcels for my company?
Yes. We can receive parcels weighing up to 30 kg and within the stated maximum dimensions. Parcel receiving, storage and forwarding are subject to additional fees.
How long is the contact person appointment valid?
The contact person’s term is registered in the Estonian Business Register and must be extended when necessary. When the registered term expires, the contact person’s details are automatically removed from the register.
