Description
From 1 November 2016, all companies and personnel must have a valid ID06 card when being on a construction site. The ID06 cards aim to create a safer working environment and prevent the use of an illegal workforce. ID06 cards released before 21 January 2020 are now expired. All companies and their employees must have valid ID06 2.0 cards to access their construction sites in Sweden.
The persons on construction sites (employees, representatives, interns, students) are registered in the ID06 system and get an individual ID06 card for the time they spend on the construction site. Otherwise, sanctions might be applied to the employers.
Only companies registered in the ID06 portal are allowed to order ID06 cards for their employees. Company representatives and employees must be identified with either Swedish BankID or manual identification carried out by accredited ID06 partners that have a document scanner.
