Getting a VAT number in Lithuania as a company owned by non-residents is a complex process. In order to apply for VAT number your company must have an accountant with rights (power of attorney) to provide documents to Tax Authorities.
Be prepared to provide following information:
- Expected business activities in Lithuania and expected turnover
- Agreements in place related to activities in Lithuania
- Information about any other entities or associations in Lithuania related to shareholders

Yes, it is possible. If you want to approve for VAT number before reaching the threshold be prepared to answer the questions from State Tax Inspectorate and ready to prove that you are engaged in business activities in Lithuania and have according agreements in place.
2) What are the due dates for monthly declarations?
Salary – and tax declarations have to be submitted by 15th of the next month. VAT invoice register must be submitted by 20th and VAT declarations by 25th of the next month.
